About

Park Avenue Armory Arts Education connects students with performing and visual arts projects that are not typically presented in traditional theaters, concert halls, or standard galleries. The program takes place within a landmark setting that includes historic period rooms. It offers creativity-based arts education experiences that reach thousands of students from under-resourced New York City public schools each year.

• Schedule: Access to free performances, workshops, tailored residencies, and paid internships
• Price: Access to free performances is included for participating students

Park Avenue Armory Arts Education is part of Park Avenue Armory, led artistically by Deborah Warner, the Anita K. Hersh Artistic Director of Park Avenue Armory. The program follows the Armory’s mission to support unconventional works in the performing and visual arts so that artists can create, students can explore, and audiences can experience work that is not done elsewhere in New York. The Armory’s community involvement includes providing educational opportunities for New York City public school students and creativity-based arts education programs for thousands of students from under-resourced public schools each year.
