Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh offers a broad range of programs in the arts, academics, health and life skills, and sports and fitness. The program also includes additional activities in character and leadership development, as well as education and career development, for children from kindergarten to late teens. Its curriculum focuses on advancing performance in academic, artistic, and athletic areas of interest.
• Schedule: Program hours include options such as Monday–Friday daytime and evening hours, and Saturday morning to evening hours, with Sunday closed in some schedules.
The mission of Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh is to enable all young people, especially those who need the program most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newburgh and Poughkeepsie state that they provide a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, and hope and opportunity. At the national level, Boys & Girls Club youth achieve a higher level of education and graduate from high school at a higher rate than the overall U.S. population, with 90% of alumni graduating from high school or earning an equivalent degree and 8% achieving less than a high school education.
