Zero Gravity Gymnastics Center was established in 2011 in Newfane, New York, and by August 2011 it was opened. The program has been operating for more than nine years. The center is a gymnastics school and facility with gymnastics equipment and an online gallery showing coaching staff, equipment, and students during classes or events.
During the summer, the schedule runs Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. During the school year, the schedule runs Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
Owner Nancy Murphy is a former local competitive gymnast who competed from 1987 to 1995 and has a bachelor’s degree in Literature/Drama Studies from SUNY Purchase College (2001). She taught trampoline skills at Circus Camp, coached gymnastics at the YWCA of White Plains until 2003, coached gymnastics at Broadway Gymnastics School in Los Angeles, California for five years, and coached at Greater Buffalo Gymnastics in Getzville from 2009 to 2011. Nancy Murphy is the owner of Zero Gravity Gymnastics Center.
The mission of Zero Gravity Gymnastics Center is to provide a facility and build a community where individuals are trained to be physically, mentally, and emotionally strong through the sport of gymnastics. Zero Gravity Gymnastics Center is a member of USA Gymnastics and is an insured company. The center notes a service area within a 20-mile radius from Newfane and offers an online gallery featuring coaching staff, equipment, and students during classes or events.
