Galaxy Gymnastics

Galaxy Gymnastics offers Mom/Dad and Me classes for children 18 months and up, with movement exploration, early childhood games, and introductory gymnastics under the direction of a qualified coach. It also offers Pre-School 1, Pre-School 2, Beginners 1, Beginners 2, Intermediate Class, Advanced Class, Tumbling Class, Shooting Stars Levels 1 & 2, Ninja Warrior Class, Summer Classes, and Summer Camp. The gymnasts train on Floor, Uneven Parallel Bars, Parallel Bars, Low and High Balance Beams, Vault, Tumble Track, and Trampoline.

Programs

• Mom/Dad and Me — 18 months and up · Movement exploration, early childhood games, and introductory gymnastics under the direction of a qualified coach.
• Pre-School 1 — 3-4 years old
• Pre-School 2 — 4-5 years old
• Beginners 1 — 5-6 years old
• Beginners 2 — 7-8 years old
• Intermediate Class — 8 and up · Designed for children aged 8 and up who have completed the skills taught in the Beginner class, emphasizing progression from Beginner skills to Intermediate skills on all 4 events.
• Advanced Class — 10 and up · Designed for children 10 and up who have completed the skills taught in the intermediate class on all 4 events.
• Tumbling Class — Designed for children who want to work on tumbling skills only.
• Shooting Stars Levels 1 & 2 — Twice-weekly · Non-competitive, pre-team program. The program may lead to a spot on the Galaxy Gymnastics XCEL Team. Students must be evaluated.
• Ninja Warrior Class — 5 to 16 · Designed to help children from age 5 to 16 become Ninjas. Includes an obstacle course with the warped wall, monkey bars, angled steps, peg boars, rings, and more.
• Summer Classes
• Summer Camp — Half-day summer camp. Campers will enjoy gymnastics, trampoline, tumbling, arts & crafts, games, and snacks.

• General schedule: Galaxy Gymnastics offers a month-to-month program per school year for recreational gymnastics. The summer program begins July 5th. Rolling registration is used so that if a session has begun, a child can enroll in any class with openings.

About the provider

Galaxy Gymnastics was established in 1993. It is owned by Jamie Winkler, who was USA Gymnastics Region 6 coach of the year in 2008 and 2010. The program states that it teaches gymnastics and fitness in a fun, safe environment to foster a greater mind/body connection while teaching life lessons.

Galaxy offers a 10% discount if yearly tuition is paid in full at registration and a 5% discount if half of the year tuition is paid in full at registration. Recreation and Pre-School monthly tuition is shown in the class listing.
