About

Cortland Bible Camp offers Winter Camp, Youth Retreat 1, Youth Retreat 2, a Teen Retreat, and Summer Camp, along with teacher training using the In Step With the Master Teacher curriculum. The program includes a clear gospel call to the young people of Central New York and operates as a non-denominational Christian camp and retreat facility. Cortland Bible Camp has offered summer camps for children and year-round retreats for 50 years. In 1968, a group involved in weekly Bible Club ministry across Cortland County purchased the Pitcher property and converted farm buildings for camp use for operation that first summer. In January of 2026, Trevor O’Gorman became the Director of Cortland Bible Camp.

The camp is a ministry of BCM International (Bible Centered Ministries) and is owned and operated by BCM International. Its mission is focused on evangelism, growth, and service, using Scripture, relationships, and creative programming to guide children and young adults along their spiritual journey. The mission also states a desire for programming and facilities that enable individuals to get away from life’s distractions and focus on God.

Core values include holding the Word of God central, creating environments that lead to decision-making encounters with God, instilling family values, a sense of belonging, and emotional security, training staff in biblical knowledge, ministry advancement, leadership, and practical life knowledge, ministering the grace and hope of Jesus Christ to everyone they come in contact with, and reaching every child possible regardless of race, creed, financial situation, or social status. The camp is also available to encourage and equip members of local fellowships through teacher training and a curriculum that focuses on the teacher, the student, the lesson, and the program.

The leadership team includes Director Trevor O’Gorman. Trevor received a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. Megan attended nursing school, graduated in 2018, and works as a labor and delivery nurse at Guthrie of Cortland Medical Center and as a nurse sonographer with Finger Lakes Pregnancy Centers.

Testimonials describe experiences at Cortland Bible Camp in every season, noting spacious facilities and accommodating staff, and mention a small and personal environment where staff learn the heart of each camper while addressing hard but necessary topics and pointing them back to Jesus. One testimonial notes that a camper is making plans to attend Cortland Bible Camp each week in the summer.
