About
Port Jervis Youth Community Center offers organized instructional programs in dance, yoga, martial arts, science, crafts, and theater. The program also includes unstructured time for game playing, socializing, club meetings, and outdoor play, along with after-school activities and summer programming.

The Youth Community Center is opened year round and is intended primarily for use by children ages 11 to 18 years, with some special programs that may include children as young as six years old. These are staffed facilities where control and supervision are critical elements, and safety is of paramount importance. The Port Jervis Recreation Department’s function is to provide the community with recreational and healthy activities for all age groups. The director works closely with other city departments, the Port Jervis School District, and county agencies, with additional funding from the Office of Children and Family Services and the Orange County Youth Bureau.
