About
YMCA Camp Combe Day Camp offers campers a mix of swim lessons, daily swimming, archery, field games, arts & crafts, and themed activities. Swim lessons are included in the price of camp for Mini Campers and for rising 1st and 2nd grade campers.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
• Price: YMCA Camp Combe offers tiered pricing. Tier 1 is a subsidized rate that only covers the basic costs associated with attending camp including staff salaries and supplies. Tier 2 most accurately accounts for the true cost of operating the camp, including staff salaries, supplies, wear and tear on equipment, facility updates, and depreciation.
YMCA Camp Combe Day Camp serves campers ages 4–14 through several program options, including a Mini Camp program for ages 4–5, a Big Camp program for ages 6–13, Leadership Development programs for ages 12–14, an LIT (Leaders in Training) program for rising 7th and 8th graders, and a CIT (Counselors in Training) program for campers aged 14, where campers receive community service hours. Campers are grouped into Berkshire Village for rising 1st and 2nd graders, Himalayan Village for rising 3rd and 4th graders, Andes Village for rising 5th and 6th graders, and Appalachian Village for rising 7th and 8th graders. Mini Camp has low camper-to-staff ratios and highly trained, caring staff.
YMCA Camp Combe is part of the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester, a nonprofit committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, serving communities throughout Westchester and Putnam Counties. The YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester states that it is a charitable, not-for-profit organization that welcomes all people regardless of age, race, religion, or economic status and strives to enrich each and every life through a unique, dynamic combination of programs that strengthens spirit, mind, and body. The Y reports that it has been listening and responding to the community’s most critical social needs for 160 years.

Parent testimonials describe children coming home happy, talking about camp, and wanting to return, including comments about staff being friendly and organized during arrival and drop-off, and notes about camper-of-the-day certificates. One parent notes that their child’s first camp experience at Camp Combe included noticeable changes in swimming and confidence in the water and mentions a bead system that recognizes campers for being caring, responsible, honest, respectful, or brave. Other parents mention that their children enjoyed creativity, fun, adventure, bonding, and that some campers from abroad wanted to extend their time at camp.
