Queensbury Parks & Recreation Programs offers activities such as Pickleball, Adult Softball, Disc Golf, Mountain Biking, Winter Recreation, Picnicking, Pavilions, Playgrounds, Recreational Swimming, and Gurney Lane Swim Lessons. The programs also include Bash Parties for ages 6–12, Bash Parties for ages 2–5, a Girls Shooting Clinic, Vacation Week Spring Recess Activities, and Lil' Kidz Fitness + Fun.

• Schedule: Office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Recreation Commission meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of every month at the Gurney Lane Recreation Area - Hansen Center and at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of every month at the Town Office Building.
• Price: A $3.00 or 3.0% convenience fee, whichever is greater based on the transaction total, is automatically applied to all credit card payments and is not refundable.

The Recreation Commission and the staff of the Department of Parks and Recreation state that they offer a variety of year-round programs, activities, and facilities for Queensbury residents and encourage families to take advantage of these recreational opportunities. The Recreation Commission members are Greg Hewlett (Chairman), Todd Eicher (Vice Chairman), Wendy Matthews (Secretary), Fran Cabana, Bob Hummel, Amanda Mohr, and John Mossing. Administrative staff include Jennifer Baertschi-France (Director), Gary Crossman (Aquatic Supervisor), Taylor McLean (Program Specialist, Q-Club Director), Mary Fuller (Office Specialist), and Jonathan Louie (Parks & Facilities Coordinator), and maintenance staff include Foreman James Flansburg and Equipment Operator Jared Bethel. The department notes that parks are pet-friendly unless otherwise indicated and asks pet owners to keep pets on a leash and clean up after them. The program offers online registration with cash, check, and credit card payments accepted, a twice-monthly email newsletter for Parks & Recreation news and events, and waiting list policies with defined contact and payment timeframes.
