About the provider
Coach Rich Furst hosts the camp, and Justin Van Dyk is the Five-Star Director. Maria Reagan is the head varsity boys and girls cross country coach at Fabius-Pompey High School, and John Kenworthy is in his first season as the Brown University Head Women's Cross Country and Assistant Distance Coach in 2023-24. Guest speakers include Dick Beardsley and Carrie Tollefson, and Stephanie Herrick is the keynote speaker. Five Star was founded by Steve Lurie and has been running for nearly 35 years. Instructor/camper ratio is 1:5. Teams of 10 boys or 10 girls that register together receive a $25 discount. If 10 or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. Teams which register 5 campers or more together receive a $35 discount. 24-hour supervision is an important feature of every NIKE Running Camp. Roommate requests must be made no later than 14 days before the start of camp. Scholarship application request deadline is February 21st; scholarship awarded March 1st.
