About

Outreach Education Programs offers outreach education programs that bring The Children’s Museum at Saratoga experience directly to schools. The program can also connect with museum visits that include activities such as a birthday party or a field trip visit.

• Schedule: Regular Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and Sundays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, with the exhibit floor or second floor closing briefly around noon each day for cleaning, and the Museum closed on most major holidays.

Founded in 1990 by community parents and educators, The Children’s Museum at Saratoga has been a resource to the Capital Region for 35 years. The Museum’s mission states that it is dedicated to creating an interactive community that inspires curiosity, sparks imagination, and nurtures discovery, and that it is committed to fostering active parent involvement in children’s learning, serving as a resource for school districts in the area, and ensuring that its programs and services are accessible to all children. The Museum offers outreach programs to school districts in 11 counties across the Capital Region and beyond, including the ability to bring the museum to classrooms with an outreach education program. The Museum reports that its exhibits are designed to meet the learning goals of a young audience and promote learning through creative play, and that it provides innovative hands-on learning to children and their caregivers. The Children’s Museum at Saratoga is part of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, I Love NY, and Discover Saratoga, and it has received the Candid Platinum Seal of Approval. Sarah Smith is the Executive Director of The Children’s Museum at Saratoga.
