Founded in 1892, Sea Cliff Yacht Club is one of the oldest private member-only yacht clubs on Long Island Sound, with a family-focused mission centered on boating, camaraderie, and the enjoyment of the pool and waterfront. Programs at the club engage members of all ages and skill levels, and the club is described as a home away from home with a strong culture of volunteerism led by the elected Flag and Board under the terms of the club’s constitution. Since 1977, the club has hosted the Around Long Island Regatta, and junior sailors from all over Long Island Sound come to compete in the Western District Regatta, alongside a strong fleet of Sunfish and ILCA sailors who participate in the winter Frostbiting season.

The club’s leadership team includes Commodore Keith E. Maler; Vice Commodore Shana Spanier-Ciniski; Rear Commodore Eric Hamm; Secretary Michael Emmert; Treasurer Thomas Rudegeair; Governors John Rogers, Cherise Kramer, Fredrick Fuchs, Anthony Dekkers, Michael Pujdak, and Caroline Cho; Fleet Captain Claude Turner; Club Counsel Donald Kavanaugh; and General Manager Charles Walsh.
