Playgroups School

Play Groups School offers Summer Camp, Preschool, and Early Elementary programs for children ages 3 to 7. Camp groups are led by certified teachers, assisted by experienced camp counselors, and swim periods are supervised by two certified lifeguards. Activities include instructional and recreational swim in a child-size pool, a Sports Program with skills development, cooperative play, and good sportsmanship, and time in an Outdoor Classroom set on 1/2-acre of secluded woodland.

Programs

• Summer Camp — preschool (ages 3-4) and early elementary age (ages 5-7) · Groups for Ages 3-4: 3s Tu/Th, M/W/F, or M-F 9:00 to 12:00 pm or 9:00 to 2:00 pm; 4s Tu/Th, M/W/F, or M-F 9:00 to 2:00 pm. Groups for Ages 5-7: 5s M/W/F or M-F 9:00 to 2:00 pm; 6-7s M/W/F or M-F 9:00 to 2:00 pm · Flexible scheduling options and no minimum stay. Camp groups are led by certified teachers, assisted by experienced camp counselors, and swim periods are supervised by two certified lifeguards.
• Preschool — Ages 3-4 · 3s Tu/Th, M/W/F, or M-F 9:00 to 12:00 pm or 9:00 to 2:00 pm; 4s Tu/Th, M/W/F, or M-F 9:00 to 2:00 pm · Summer camp for preschool campers includes instructional and recreational swim every day in a child-size pool.
• Early Elementary — Ages 5-7 · 5s M/W/F or M-F 9:00 to 2:00 pm; 6-7s M/W/F or M-F 9:00 to 2:00 pm · Designed for campers entering kindergarten through second grade. Elementary-age campers participate in a Sports Program with skills development, cooperative play and good sportsmanship.
• Outdoor Classroom — A dynamic nature-based play and learning space set on ½-acre of secluded woodland.

About the provider

Play Groups School has served children in the Three Village area and surrounding communities for more than seventy years and traces its origins to 1944. Maddy Friedman has been the Educational Director since 1990 and has also directed the summer program since 2001. The school is a nationally-accredited preschool.
