YMCA Camp Seewackamano offers activities that include swimming, archery, high ropes, low ropes, field games and sports, arts and crafts, 4-square, gaga, drama, nature walks, fishing, and boating. Campers take part in both swimming and a range of other outdoor and creative activities during the camp day.
• Ages: 5–16 years old
• Schedule: Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9am–4pm, from June 29 through August 28, 2026, with four two-week sessions and a final one-week session.
• Price: Deposit per session: $125. Sessions 1–3: $625/session. Session 4 and 5 (one week registrations): $380/week. KIKAPU VILLAGE RATES: Deposit per session: $125. Sessions 1–3: $660. One week session: $410. CIT/LIT RATES (full summer): $650. PRE AND POST CARE: Pre OR Post (per session): $110. Combo (per session): $160. Pre or Post (one week): $55. Combo (one week): $82. *Any updates requested after registration has been completed will incur a change fee of $35.
Tuition includes bus transportation throughout Ulster County. Pre or post camp care is available for all sessions of camp and is located at the YMCA in Kingston, NY. The program offers Leader in Training (L.I.T.) and Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) programs that provide leadership opportunities for aspiring camp counselors and teach basic job skills; in each session, LITs and CITs are assigned a counselor and camper group to work with, assist in daily operations of the camp day, have daily social periods with their peers, and counselors in training are given increased responsibility. Per Ulster County Department of Health regulations, the camp does not hire staff under the age of 16. During registration, families are asked to share the child’s immunization history and general medical history, and camper and staff immunization records are collected annually per Department of Health requirements.
The Youth Development Director for the program is Katie Giordano. The YMCA states that it has served as a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community for more than 160 years. The YMCA Kingston and Ulster County is described as a private not-for-profit, community-based organization providing social, health, physical education, and recreation services to residents of Ulster County.
