Day Camp In The Park offers activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, STEM projects, athletics, creative endeavors, hiking, and swimming by the basins of waterfalls. Campers can use an inflatable waterpark filled with slides and obstacle courses, a water trampoline, and explore Lake Tiorati, as well as swim in an in-ground heated pool. The program also includes Tennis, Soccer, Arts & Crafts, Archery, Gymnastics, Ceramics, Basketball, Theater, a climbing wall, Music, Martial Arts, Dance, Gagaball, Daily Swim Instruction, and special events like Camp Carnival, Campfire S’mores Fridays, Costume Day, and a Camp Play.

• Schedule: Door-to-door transportation in air-conditioned minibuses Monday through Friday
• Price: We have competitive pricing compared to other premium day camps that make our camp very attractive. A hot lunch program is available at a small fee.
Day Camp In The Park has a Nursery Program for four- and five-year-old campers entering Pre-K and Kindergarten with one counselor per two children, and a C.I.T. Program for campers entering 9th and 10th grade who want to work in camp in the future. The nature program includes hiking, making crafts from nature, collecting frogs and turtles, and learning campfire building skills. The camp states that 500 acres of pristine nature in the Harriman State Park preserve means campers develop a profound connection, understanding, and respect for the natural world.
The experienced staff of full-time teachers is described as dedicated to creating a safe and exciting environment for all campers to thrive. Daily Swim Instruction is provided by certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructors, and each group is run by camp professionals and certified teachers. Day Camp In The Park has been providing summer fun for kids for nearly 50 years.
Day Camp In The Park has been honored nationally by the American Camp Association with the Pioneer In Camping Award and the Special Recognition Award, and it created the first Master’s program in Camp Leadership & Administration for Camp Directors for the A.C.A. The camp is now accepting private tours for Summer 2026.
