Staten Island YMCA Counseling Service – Youth & Family Programs offers adult, teen, youth, and family programs for those struggling with substance use and their families. The program provides both virtual and in-person services through a state-licensed outpatient model.

• Ages: 13–18 years old

New York City’s YMCA, founded in 1852, operates these programs as part of its broader work to empower youth, improve health, and strengthen community. The YMCA of Greater New York is described as the city’s leading nonprofit community health and well-being organization and serves a diverse population of more than half a million New Yorkers through programs and services at 24 branches. The organization reports a 94% high school graduation rate for Y Teen Leaders, distribution of 556,800 pounds of food through Y Community Markets and branches, and $56 million in increased earning potential for parents of youth at the Y. Community involvement connected to the YMCA of Greater New York includes a partnership with the New York Knicks for youth basketball clinics and a collaboration with Colgate-Palmolive for the 2025 VIDA Awards & Reception.
