The Country School Summer Camp

The Country School Summer Camp includes activities in science, art, music, movement, language arts, math concepts, mindfulness, Spanish, yoga, creative movement, ballet, gymnastics, and sports. The program uses a “whole child” curriculum that integrates wellness, academics, creative arts, and life building skills, with play-based learning and structured activities organized through monthly themes. Class sizes are small, and the learning environment is described as active and dynamic, with intentional planning and thoughtfully designed learning experiences that encourage play, active participation, and engagement of the senses.

Founded in 1990 by Deena Zenger, The Country School Summer Camp is part of The Country School, which states that its mission is to provide an innovative and preeminent education for children and to cultivate confident, ethical, mindful, life-long learners that have the power to change the world. The program describes a warm, nurturing environment for children from Pre-Nursery to Pre-K, as well as exceptional summer camp programs for children ages 18 months to 9 years.
