Mad Science of NYC & Westchester states that its mission is to inspire children through science, sparking lifelong imagination and curiosity. It is described as a leading science enrichment provider and is part of Mad Science, which is now a global enrichment company that brings hands-on science experiences to millions of children every year. Hands-on science programs cover topics including electricity, magnetism, optics, biology, and more, and all workshops are curriculum correlated to state standards. Both in-person and virtual programs are running, and when the school day learning is remote, the science activities remain hands-on. Summer and vacation camps allow kids to explore different fields of science in a hands-on way, and children’s events are described as hassle-free, adaptable, and action-packed. The organization provides programs for schools, community centers, recreation centers, libraries, company parties, and other community events. Mad Science was founded in 1985 in Montreal, Canada, and the local Westchester operation began in 1996. The leadership team includes Ariel Shlien and Ron Shlien.
