Steffi Nossen School of Dance

Steffi Nossen School of Dance offers classes in Parents & Toddlers, Creative Movement, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Afrobeats, and Dance and Movement. The program also offers movement and dance classes adapted for individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities, as well as Storybook Camp, Summer Camps, Summer Intensives, SummerDance Drop-In Classes, Adaptive Summer Dance, and a Mid-Winter Break Dance Camp. It includes pre-professional training in Modern, Ballet, and Contemporary Jazz, and also offers adult open, drop-in classes.

Founded as a modern dance school in 1937, Steffi Nossen School of Dance was established as a private trust and Foundation in 1958 and became a not-for-profit organization in 1982. It is the oldest dance school in Westchester County and continues to follow the teaching philosophy Steffi Nossen set more than eighty years ago. The organization states that sharing the joy and benefits of dance with all members of the Westchester community through high quality dance programs is its mission and describes itself as promoting the awareness of dance and the opportunity to dance for all without boundaries and borders. Leadership includes Shelley K. Grantham as Executive Director, Tara Levoci as School Coordinator, Jessica DiMauro Marks as Artistic Director, Alyssa Fulmer as Company Director, Judith G. Ross as Community Relations Director, and Christa Chepurny as Business & Marketing Manager.
