New York Edge Summer Camp includes literacy and STEM activities, supplementary academic activities, and tutoring. The program also offers sports, arts, enrichment, sports and nutrition activities, and visual and performing creative activities. Students can take part in gifted and talented programs through The Excellence Project.

New York Edge’s mission is to help bridge the opportunity gap for students in underinvested communities by providing programs designed to improve academic performance, health and wellness, self-confidence, and leadership skills for success in life. Its after school and summer programs reach thousands of students annually in more than 100 schools across all five boroughs and Long Island, with more than 25,000 students across 110+ sites participating every year. The organization reports that students in its tutoring programs improve their ELA and Math scores by 18%, and that 98% of parents would recommend the program to other parents. New York Edge states that every student deserves opportunities to find a passion, develop skills, become a leader, and have a healthy and safe environment beyond school hours, and it is committed to building a transformative culture that embraces a diversity of voices, experiences, and backgrounds and is actively anti-bias.
