GymCats Gymnastics was founded over 30 years ago. GymCats Gymnastics states that its main goals are creating athletes as well as the foundations for them to succeed both in and out of sports, building a physical and mental foundation for all sports, and promoting athleticism and good health through participation in gymnastics. The GymCats coaching staff is described as energetic and dedicated, and parents and students are described as respecting and appreciating their knowledge and experience. Children engage on age-appropriate equipment alongside a certified instructor. The program maintains a low teacher-child ratio of 6 students to 1 teacher in the 3 & 4 Year Old Gymnastics class.
All classes are co-ed, and mid-session enrollment is available as long as there is space. Make-up classes are allowed for illness and family emergencies only, based on availability, with a maximum of 2 make-up classes allowed within one session, and no make-up credits carried over to future sessions. Make-up classes are by appointment only and are not guaranteed, and no make-up classes are given for inclement weather closings. Only students are allowed in the gym, and all spectators must remain in the waiting area, which includes two areas from which classes can be viewed. All 3 & 4 year old Tiny Cat parents/guardians are required to stay in the facility for the duration of their child's class, and only parents/guardians with children in Parent & Me classes are allowed on the gym floor. Children should not arrive more than 10 minutes before class and should be picked up promptly.
All waivers must be accepted before entering the gym, and no student is permitted in the gym until registration procedures are complete. Payment must accompany online registration, and any child registered for a session is obligated for the entire session fee, which must be paid in full at the time of registration. No refunds are given except in case of withdrawal due to injury or serious illness, when the balance is credited minus a $50 processing/insurance fee. A split-payment plan for special circumstances must be secured with a credit card. The program accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. A $30.00 returned check fee is applied to the tuition balance, and future tuition after a returned check must be paid in cash, certified check, money order, or Visa/MasterCard. Effective immediately, there is a 3% surcharge on all credit/debit card payments, which does not apply to ACH/Electronic check transactions.
New students must register online to reserve a spot in a class. New students have until the end of the second class after registration to decide whether to continue; if they choose not to continue, a prorated refund is given minus the cost of the 1 or 2 classes. New students are responsible for paying for the first class even if they do not attend it. If a new student decides not to continue after the first class, they must give at least 48 hours’ notice before the second class to avoid being charged for the second class.
