About
Color Our Rainbow Academy offers activities that include an author of the month, art technique projects, and a music artist of the month. Children also have access to a large playground area that includes a basketball half-court, climbers, swings, and other gross motor activities.

Color Our Rainbow Academy uses a Customized Collaborative Curriculum© created by Jennifer, also referred to as Collaborative Curriculum©, which is inspired by children’s interests and puts science, literacy, and math skills to work. Art, authors, and music enrichment are part of the program through activities like author of the month, technique, and music artist of the month. The program offers full-time and part-time options, flexible scheduling where families can choose only the days they need care, and flexible scheduling options where families pay only for the care they need when they need it. Healthy home-cooked meals and snacks are provided daily and are included in tuition. Parent communication takes place through the Procare Connect app with updates on activities, food, potty training, and naps. The program accepts TITLE XX contracted and publicly funded child care assistance, and publicly funded assistance is accepted.
Teachers at Color Our Rainbow Academy have either degrees or Child Development Associates, and the director has a tenure of over 10 years. The program is run by Jennifer and Brian Sprafka, who combined their heart for children and their passion for top-notch customer service and launched their first center in 2001. Jennifer has a degree in Early Childhood Education, and Brian’s background is in business management. The center has been caring for families for over two decades and is run by a family who uplifts other families. Core values at the program are Integrity, Passionate Service, Teamwork, Innovation, and Fun.
Color Our Rainbow Academy has safety features that include restricted access doors, a fenced playground, security camera monitoring, and fingerprint access. The playground is large and includes a basketball half-court, climbers, swings, and other equipment based on children’s interests and age group.
The mission of Color Our Rainbow Academy includes offering a safe family environment where children learn, explore, and build healthy bonds, and building a strong community over generations while nurturing equal opportunity one child at a time. The mission also states that education gives children the equal opportunity they deserve to grow smart, confident, and strong, and that communities thrive when children learn respect, responsibility, and empathy, with lasting relationships with families and neighbors weaving a brighter future for all.
Color Our Rainbow Academy has a 5-star rating in the state’s Step Up To Quality program and holds GOLD Rating and awards for exceptional, top-quality care. The center works with Akron public schools to support readiness and a smooth transition.
