Color Our Rainbow Academy

Color Our Rainbow Academy offers toddlers ages 18 to 36 months, preschool for ages 3 to 4, pre-K for ages 4 to 5, before- and after-school care for ages 5 to 12, and summer camp for ages 5 to 12. The preschool program includes project-based and play-based learning, specialized art programs, physical play, and daily digital reporting. The pre-K program uses Collaborative Curriculum© with play, structured project work, milestone assessments, and daily art, history, and music instruction. The before- and after-school program includes transportation to and from local Akron elementary schools, homework support, snacks, and organized group games and sports. The summer camp includes weekly field trips, special guests, daily meals, outdoor play, team sports, and creative arts.

• Summer Camp (5–12 Years) — 5 to 12 years · Seasonal summer program with weekly field trips, special guests, daily meals, flexible parent communication via mobile app, outdoor play, team sports, and creative arts.

About the provider

Jennifer and Brian Sprafka launched the first center in 2001. Jennifer has a degree in Early Childhood Education, and Brian’s background is in business management. The program states a mission of providing a safe family environment where children learn, explore, and build healthy bonds. It has a 5-star Step Up To Quality program rating and a GOLD Rating, and it serves Akron, OH while working with Akron public schools to support readiness and a smooth transition. It accepts publicly funded child care assistance.

Flexible scheduling is available. Full-time and part-time options are available. Publicly funded child care assistance is accepted. Safety features mentioned include restricted access doors, a fenced playground, security camera monitoring, fingerprint access, and cameras.
