Firestone Park YMCA Youth Programs and Camps

Firestone Park YMCA Youth Programs and Camps offers Summer Camp, a Youth Sports Program, and Group Exercise for children and families. The program takes place at the Firestone Park YMCA, which is part of the Akron Area YMCA branch network.

• Schedule: Branch hours Monday–Thursday 6:00 am–9:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am–8:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am–2:00 pm; Child Watch available Monday and Wednesday 6:00 pm–8:00 pm

Since 1870, the Akron Area YMCA has operated as a place for community members to participate in programs and activities. The Akron Area YMCA states its mission as putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and a leading charitable organization that offers a sliding membership scale to make YMCA programming and membership affordable to all. Several Akron Area YMCA branches are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for members ages 18 and older.

Families at the Akron Area YMCA have access to free group fitness classes and free Child Watch. The Akron Area YMCA also offers pools and swimming, including swim lessons for kids and adults, lap and family swim, and aqua aerobics classes.
