About
YWCA Kids Place Summer Day Camp offers field trips, enriching experiences, and time with friends throughout the summer. The program is described as an all-inclusive day camp with expert staff and flexible scheduling, and scholarships are available for qualified families. Campers in grades K–7 from any school district may attend.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: 9-week program running June 1–July 31, 2026, with weekday hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; no camp on Friday, June 19, or Friday, July 3
• Price: Tuition is $290/week with a one-time, nonrefundable $50 reservation fee and a one-time, nonrefundable $75 activity fee per child (maximum $150 per family)
The program is DCY licensed and led by expert staff. YWCA Kids Place has more than 30 years of experience offering summer programs for campers in grades K–7 from any school district. YWCA Kids Place was named the best afterschool program in Central Ohio for the second year in a row in the CBUS Top Picks Community Choice Awards, and YWCA Columbus received YWCA USA’s Association Excellence Award for Mission Impact in the field of Racial Justice. YWCA Columbus was formed in 1886 and states its mission as eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. The leadership team includes Elizabeth Brown (President & CEO), Dana Raymond (Chief Financial Officer), Makiva McIntosh (Chief Advancement & Engagement Officer), and Sue Darby (Chief Operating Officer).
