About
Zoo Summer Day Camp includes hands-on challenges, creative games, close-up animal encounters, and other hands-on activities. Campers take part in exploring pollinator gardens, creating upcycled crafts, and going on a journey through the zoo on exciting missions that include tracking animal clues and solving challenges to earn badges. Activities also include hands-on experiments, design challenges, and daily experiences with the professionals that keep zoos running and conservation moving forward.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Full-day and half-day options with week-long sessions, including a modified four-day holiday week
• Price: Full-day, half-day, and add-on care options with separate pricing for regular and holiday weeks
Campers are grouped according to age to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment. Campers ages 5–14 participate in fun and educational activities with experienced camp counselors, and a limited number of half-day registration spaces are available for campers aged 5–8, who are grouped together and follow a weekly topic. Weekly camp themes include Camp A: Animal Superpowers, Camp B: Habitat Quest, Camp C: Eco Heroes, Camp D: Wild Explorers (Holiday Week), Camp A: Wild Designs (for age groups 11–12 and 13–14), and Camp B: Conservation Careers (for age groups 11–12 and 13–14). Online registration is required for all weeks of Zoo Summer Day Camp, real-time camp availability can be viewed by clicking the Register button, and age groups are based on the camper's age as of June 1, 2026. The program’s mission is to create compelling experiences that connect campers with wildlife and inspire personal responsibility for conserving the natural world.
