Akron Fossils & Science Center Youth Programs

Akron Fossils & Science Center Youth Programs offers Summer Day Camps for children in grades K-6. The camps run weekly with themes, hands-on activities, and projects, and campers are divided into groups according to grade level. The schedule includes Monday through Friday sessions with morning, afternoon, and all-day options.

• Summer Day Camps — grades K-6; younger campers must be at least 5 years old by June 1st of the current camp year; older campers are ages 12 & under · Monday through Friday; morning session 9:00 am-12:30 pm, afternoon session 1:30 pm-5:00 pm, all-day session 9:00 am-5:00 pm; 7 weeks each summer · $165–$240 per week · Weekly camp sessions with themes, hands-on activities, and projects; before play care 8:00 am-9:00 am and after play care 5:00 pm-6:00 pm available for additional fees.

About the provider

The Akron Fossils & Science Center opened in 2005. In 2016, part of the museum was separated into the Creation Education Museum. Its mission is to provide visitors of all ages with balanced, affordable, and hands-on educational opportunities to explore the science of the world past, present, and future.

Summer Day Camps are for children in grades K-6. Younger campers must be at least 5 years old by June 1st of the current camp year. Older campers are ages 12 & under. Campers are divided into groups according to grade level. Registration includes a $50 non-refundable registration fee. Doors do not open before 8:00 am for extra care.
