About

Wilde Kingdom Early Learning Center offers learning through play with a play-based learning philosophy that includes art education and music education. The program uses a multi-cultural, inclusive curriculum and has a commitment to serving a diverse population of children and families. Children with mental or physical disabilities have the opportunity to participate in all activities at the center, and Wilde Kingdom Early Learning Center will make any reasonable modification in policies, practices, and procedures in order to accommodate individuals with disabilities.

The program serves children and families of the Fairfield and surrounding community by delivering a high quality educational program provided through a professional, nurturing staff. The entire facility has restricted access, and each classroom has developmentally appropriate equipment and practices related to children’s safety. The nursery is fully baby-proofed, the toddler classroom is fully toddler-proofed, and playground safety is a high priority. Each child’s health and safety are a primary foundation for all activities and facilities, proper teacher-child ratios are always maintained, and all children are required to wear closed-toed shoes inside and out.

Cribs are fully safety standards compliant and are not shared, sleeping infants are checked every five minutes and placed on their backs, and no soft bedding is allowed. While being bottle-fed, infants are always held, and handwashing, sanitizing, and diapering are all practiced with the highest degree of care. All toys are sanitized and age-appropriate for toddlers, toddlers are guided on the playground to use age-appropriate equipment, and preschoolers learn health and safety activities in an environment with safety standards that are age-appropriate. Parents receive a daily activity report (eDAR) detailing what their child did and how they are doing.

Wilde Kingdom Early Learning Center has programs for multiple age groups from infancy through early childhood and is Ohio Step Up To Quality GOLD rated. The program encourages families to share native customs, music, clothing, books, games, and foods with their child’s group. Credentialed teachers expose each child to various learning experiences, and Lead Teachers are credentialed in the field of early childhood education, with Lead Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and Aides receiving ongoing professional development training. The program has a non-discriminatory policy regarding race, creed, color, gender, religion, disability, or national and ethnic origin. Robin and Jim Wilde are the owners of Wilde Kingdom Early Learning Center.
