Pegasus Farm Equestrian Programs

Pegasus Farm Equestrian Programs includes Hands On Horses, Hands On Horsemanship - The Next Chapter, Horsin' Around, Equestrian Vaulting Summer Program, and Advanced Equestrian Vaulting Summer Program. The program also includes weekly one-hour group lessons in Take Flight Therapeutic/Adaptive Horseback Riding, with horsemanship theory, grooming, care, and some unmounted lessons. It also offers Adaptive Carriage Driving and a Vaulting Program.

Programs

• Equestrian Summer Programs 2026 — 6-18 years for some camps; 8-16 years for "Hands On Horses"; 9-17 years for "Hands On Horsemanship - The Next Chapter" · Summer program sessions; some camps run 3 days or 5 days, typically 9:00 am - 12:00 pm · Includes multiple camps such as Hands On Horses, Hands On Horsemanship - The Next Chapter, Horsin' Around, Equestrian Vaulting Summer Program, and Advanced Equestrian Vaulting Summer Program.
• Take Flight Therapeutic/Adaptive Horseback Riding — Students from ages 3 to 70 participate in weekly one-hour group lessons · Weekly one-hour group lessons · Therapeutic/adaptive horseback riding with horsemanship theory, grooming, and care; some unmounted lessons.
• Adaptive Carriage Driving — Carriage driving for those not suitable for horseback riding or interested in a different equestrian discipline.
• Vaulting Program — Vaulting club formed in 2000; includes Pegasus Farm Take Flight participants and community youth.
• Individualized School Programs — Therapeutic equestrian experiences tailored to the interests and needs of students with special needs.
• Partnership Programs — Formal programs with another professional organization for youth who experience behavioral challenges.

About the provider

Pegasus Farm was founded in 1986, and the Farm opened in the spring of 1986. Its mission is to create a community that holistically supports and empowers people with diverse needs through therapeutic equestrian programs, vocational services, and recreational and social activities. The program is a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center and is accredited by the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA).

Open to students with or without disabilities for summer programs, although some eligibility criteria are established for each program. Payment for each program is required at registration. There is a weight limit of 180 pounds for some summer camps and 160 pounds for vaulting. Limited space is noted for some sessions; some are full. Applications for new students are taken throughout the year. There is typically a waiting list, and the average wait is 4 to 6 months.
