Kids Education & Recreation offers Summer Camp with weekly themes that include the Columbus Zoo, COSI, Dawes Arboretum, a private chef, and professional coaches. It also offers infant care with stories, puppets, signing, and age-appropriate educational materials and toys, older infant activities built around curiosity and emerging milestones, and older toddlers activities that include hands-on learning in cognitive skills, language and literacy, physical well-being, social-emotional skills, cultural awareness, and motor skills. The program also includes preschool for 3-year-olds with language, math, science, Spanish, social skills, simple addition and subtraction, patterns, songs, science experiments, art projects, and music; preschool for 4-year-olds with multi-step instruction, Spanish, problem solving, blended sounds, sight words, organizing work, controlling impulses, and more complex math; and kindergarten for 5-year-olds.

Programs

• Summer Camp — Up to 8 years old · Full-time only. Weekly themes include the Columbus Zoo, COSI, Dawes Arboretum, a private chef, professional coaches, and more.
• Infant — Birth to 12 months · Consistent opportunities for loving interaction; stories, puppets, signing, and age-appropriate educational materials/toys for sensory stimulation, cognitive awareness, and motor development.
• Older Infant — 12 months to 18 months · Plenty of room to move and discover; activities built around curiosity and emerging milestones.
• Older Toddlers — 2 1/2 years up to 3 years · Daily interactive, hands-on learning experiences focused on cognitive skills, language and literacy, physical well-being, social-emotional skills, cultural awareness, and motor skills.
• 3-Year-Old Preschool — 3 years · Builds language, math, science, Spanish, social skills, and physical activities; includes simple addition and subtraction, patterns, songs, science experiments, art projects, and music.
• 4-Year-Old Preschool — 4 years · Focuses on multi-step instruction, Spanish, problem solving, blended sounds, sight words, organizing work, controlling impulses, and more complex math.
• 5-Year-Old Kindergarten — 5 years

About the provider

Founded in 1968, Kids Education & Recreation is the oldest licensed childcare center in the area. Its mission is providing childcare that focuses on building healthy bodies and developing young minds to their fullest potential.

Scheduled appointments available. A $100 registration fee per child is required annually. Enrollment forms can be dropped off or mailed to 1062 River Rd., Granville, OH 43023.
