About
Rosewood Learning Center offers activities that include phonics, Montessori-led exploration, Bible and Bible study, music, art, math, language development, science, social studies, creative writing, and movement. The program uses a Christian faith-based curriculum and a Christian-based curriculum that blends phonics and Montessori methods. It provides preschool through school-age care, including early childhood programs starting at 18 months, as well as Preschool, Pre-K, School Age Care (K–5th), and Summer Adventures offerings.

Rosewood Learning Center was established in 1993 and has been serving Jamestown families for more than 25 years, and it was formerly known as Teddy Bear Preschool, which has been meeting the educational needs of preschool children since 1992. The program describes itself as a Christian based program and a faith-centered learning home that partners with families in providing a family-like atmosphere and an excellent learning environment for all children enrolled in the center. Its mission statement says it partners with Jamestown families to provide a nurturing, faith-centered environment where children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually, and that it began with a conviction that a child's earliest years deserve the same care, intention, and reverence as any chapter of their education.
Classrooms are led by certified educators, and staff are CPR and First Aid certified. The leadership team includes Founder and Director Vicky Rose, Lead Pre-K Teacher Ms. Amanda, and Before and After School Lead Teacher Mr. Les. Mr. Les is a certified early childhood educator, and Ms. Amanda is certified and CPR and First Aid trained. Rosewood Learning Center LLC is a licensed child care center, and it maintains low student-to-teacher ratios.
Every classroom has a door leading directly to the outside in case of emergencies. The program offers before and after school care, tutoring services, a summer program, and Summer Adventures all summer. It uses the Brightwheel App for communication between teachers and parents and a private Facebook group to upload and share photos in a safe and private way.
Rosewood Learning Center often uses places like the library and the park for small field trips. Each year, children go caroling around local businesses to spread the joy and love of Jesus's birth.
Parent testimonials describe daily experiences at the center, including one family who says, "Our daughter walks in every morning and is greeted by name.
