About
Learning 4 Life Farm offers hands-on activities that include job skill training, social skill development, tending to gardens, caring for bees, working with alpacas, and marketing produce. Participants work directly with therapy alpacas, as well as with 6 alpacas, 2 barn cats, and 2 bunnies in the farm setting.

Learning 4 Life Farm states that its mission is to empower neurodivergent young adults through experiential learning and holistic development within a supportive farm setting, using hands-on experiences and a whole-person approach to foster independence, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging. The program has been operating since 2019 and has partnered with local businesses and organizations to expand programs. Learning 4 Life Farm offers field trips for all ages, community events, workshops, and programs that are available through school contracts.
The leadership team includes Executive Director Jill Medley; Farm Director Amanda Tompkins; and Marketing and Fundraising staff member Jessica Arvai. The Board of Directors includes Board President Matt McEnery; Executive Director/Treasurer Tim Mosure; Board Vice President Ralph Davis; and members Mary Lou Gambill, Fernanda Krupek, Dr. Osler Ortez, Christian Olson, and Allyson Davy. Jill Medley has worked in special education for over twenty years, has a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, a Master’s degree in special education/Applied Behavior Analysis from The Ohio State University, and holds teaching certificates in Early Childhood Education and Early Education of the Handicapped. Amanda Tompkins is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Studio Arts, holds a teaching certification in the state of Ohio, and has worked with special needs students since 2009.
