About

Camp Bethany offers games, activities, campfires, and worship under the stars. Campers take part in worship sessions, vespers, Bible studies, small groups, and devotionals. The program also includes time to play in the snow during its winter offerings.

• Ages: 7–18 years old

Since 1957, Camp Bethany has continued the legacy of its Christian community and remains deeply connected to the Brethren Church. It serves campers who have completed first grade through high school, with additional programs for individuals beyond high school, and offers Summer Camp, Winter Camp, and Family Camp, as well as rentals for retreats with flexible booking options and tailored pricing. All Camp Bethany staff have undergone thorough background checks, and the camp’s mission is focused on guiding young people and others in their spiritual journey. The camp board consists of volunteer representatives from Brethren churches in Ohio, and the leadership team includes Carol Bland (President), Ken Van Duyne (General Manager), Esther Kulenich (Vice President), Tom McConahay (Board Member), Jeff Borah (Treasurer), Hanna Strickland (Board Member), Cory Smith (Secretary), and Jeffrey Chittenden (Board Member). Camp Bethany supports churches throughout the Ohio region through its various programs and offerings.

Parents and campers have shared that worship sessions, campfires, vespers, Bible studies, and conversations with counselors and fellow campers have played a role in deepening personal faith and relationships with God. Testimonials also describe a sense of unity because of Christ, long-lasting friendships formed at camp, and counselors and staff who bring an intentional and fun atmosphere each summer.
