Lancaster Parks & Recreation Camps & Programs includes activities such as the GLOWING PICKLEBALL SUMMER BASH, Minecamp at Alley Park, and the Wise Walkers Senior Hiking Group. The program also offers hiking through Wise Walkers and opens online registration for Alley Park Preschool & Homeschool Fall Sessions. Throughout the year, organized activities and special events are offered for the community.

The mission of Lancaster Parks & Recreation Camps & Programs is to provide a quality park and recreation system by offering facilities and programs that enrich the lives of citizens in the community. Olivedale is described as a premier recreational and educational facility for the older population of the community ages 55 and older. Lancaster Parks & Recreation is conducting a community survey to better understand the Lancaster city pools. The department also shares updates such as a bike trail closure at Miller Park between Wheeling & 6th Ave. and a planned closure of Mt. Pleasant at noon on Friday, October 10, 2025. Jennifer Shamblin is listed in connection with an Independence Day Holiday notice stating that all park location offices are closed on 07/03/2026.
