The Nest Schools of Loveland offers nurturing, play-based programs that use the Nest Play curriculum, which incorporates current research in early development. Children use outdoor classrooms and play spaces, including playgrounds with plants, natural elements, themed play areas, and physical challenges. Educational programs are organized into groups called Hummingbirds (Infants), Ducklings (Young Toddlers), Cardinals (Older Toddlers), Penguins (Preschool), Robins (Pre-K), and Parrots (Pre-K Masters).

The Nest Schools of Loveland offers before and after-school care for Loveland Elementary and McCormick Elementary Schools. Communication with families includes face-to-face interactions, individual conference times, a school e-newsletter, a daily reporting app, and interactive displays outside every classroom. The program uses layers of security measures and outdoor environments that invite children to engage with nature, supported by teachers described as highly-trained youth developers.

The leadership team includes Debbie Wolf as Director, Reagan Brashear as Assistant Director, and Tara Aledia as Regional Director. Debbie Wolf has worked in early childhood education since 1999 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Reagan Brashear has worked in early childhood education since 2020, holds an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and is certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration. Tara Aledia has worked in early childhood education since 2001 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

The mission for children and families is to build trusting relationships with families and provide safe and nurturing environments where children grow with joy and develop a lifelong love of learning. The mission for staff is to lead with warmth and kindness and empower early childhood educators through high-quality workplaces, professional development, and support.

Parent feedback includes comments that teachers know children by name and that families recommend The Nest Schools of Loveland to others. Parents have noted friendly staff greetings, that their children feel welcomed and have developed relationships, and that they are impressed by the level of safety and the daily curriculum. One parent described The Nest Schools as more than childcare and as a partner in the development and success of their children.
