Camp Discovery Summertime Adventure

Camp Discovery Summertime Adventure includes activities such as swimming, bowling, skating, horseback-riding, and wall-climbing. The program uses a project-based curriculum with enriching learning experiences and weekly Bible lessons in a nurturing Christian early learning environment. It is part of faith-based child care centers that offer Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool programs, using a child-led educational philosophy that encourages creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning in a respectful environment.

Camp Discovery Summertime Adventure is offered through Children’s Discovery Center. Children’s Discovery Center was founded by Lois Mitten Rosenberry and has provided early childhood education in the greater Toledo area since 1982. Its mission states that it is a premier child care and early learning center in the Toledo area, offering Reggio Emilia-inspired programs that respect each child, promote learning through play and exploration, and support families in a creative, nurturing, Christian environment. The Reggio Emilia educational philosophy used by Children’s Discovery Center has been recognized by Newsweek as one of the world’s top educational philosophies.
