About

Soccer Shots is a children’s soccer program where kids play soccer, learn age-appropriate soccer skills, and practice fundamental soccer principles such as using their feet, dribbling, passing, shooting, and the basic rules of the game. Sessions include songs, fun games, and team competitions, and may also include competitive play. The program also includes character-building with a focus on positive character traits such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation.

• Ages: 18 months–8 years old

Soccer Shots offers MINI (Toddler), CLASSIC (Preschool), and PREMIER (School-Age) program levels, using an expert-designed, developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards. The curriculum was created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches. Every Soccer Shots coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification, is trained in the use of developmentally appropriate techniques, and is routinely evaluated and given ongoing training. Soccer Shots describes its mission as aiming to positively impact children’s lives and is positioned as a best-in-class children’s soccer program with a focus on character development.

Soccer Shots was formed in 1997, began franchising in 2005, and opened its first four franchises in Ohio, Delaware, Florida, and Pennsylvania. The founding partners are Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb, and Justin Bredeman joined as a third partner in May 2009. Soccer Shots Franchising, LLC is based in central Pennsylvania, just east of Harrisburg, and the program is offered in over 300 territories across 43 states and 2 Canadian provinces, with over 560,000 enrollments in 2023. Soccer Shots is consistently recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as the #1 Children’s Fitness Franchise in the U.S.

Soccer Shots partners with local childcare centers, preschools, elementary schools, and other organizations to bring soccer to children across North America, and partners with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Nike, and other organizations to impact children and communities across the U.S. and the world. One parent from Kalamazoo, MI, reported that their daughter progressed from holding a parent’s hand to running to the coach and noted that she was learning soccer skills, taking turns, independence, and how to cheer for others. Other parents from Phoenix, AZ; Dallas, Texas; and San Diego, CA, described the instructors and coaches as amazing or great, noted growth in their children over months in the program, and described the program as organized and engaging for kids.
