RAW Camp

RAW Camp offers Young Warrior, Earth Skills and Art, Young Explorer, and Bouldering Adventure for younger campers, plus Horseback Adventure, Survivor, Splashdown, and Teen Adventure and Leadership for older campers. Activities listed include Jiu Jitsu, Parkour, environmental stewardship projects, shelter building, wild harvesting, fire building, archery, games, art, swimming, forest play, obstacle courses, field games, horseback riding, hiking, and a High Ropes Course trip.

Programs

• Teen Adventure and Leadership — 13-17 · $350 per week · Week-long leadership experience with fun, adventure, stewardship, and community. Includes a trip to Ohio University's brand new High Ropes Course and ends with a camp out on Thursday night.
• Horseback Adventure — 8-12 · $275 per week · Includes an off-site trip to SmokeRise Ranch for an hour long horseback ride.
• Survivor — 8-12 · $250 per week · Tailored to empower campers with real-life survival skills, including edible plants, fire making, shelter building, archery, and a day-long trip to Strouds Run for hiking and swimming.
• Young Warrior — 6-10 · $250 per week · Campers train in Jiu Jitsu and Parkour while working on environmental stewardship projects, team building, and challenging obstacles.
• Earth Skills and Art — 6-10 · $250 per week · Learning survival skills such as shelter building, wild harvesting, and fire building, plus daily art using natural materials.
• Young Explorer — 6-10 · $250 per week · A week to explore the world around campers, with games, art, swimming, obstacles, team building, and forest play.
• Bouldering Adventure — 6-10 · $250 per week · Includes obstacle courses, field games, a trip to Blockhouse Bouldering Gym for a one hour group class, and outdoor camp activities.
• Splashdown — 8-12 · $250 per week · A water-themed week focused on collecting water, sampling water quality, exploring bodies of water on the farm, swimming in the pond, and a trip to the Nelsonville Pool.
• Girls + — 6-12 · $250 per week · A week for female-identifying youth with collaborative art projects, tools, survival skills, team building, challenge by choice, archery, and self-defense.

• General schedule: Camps run from 9 am to 3:30 pm, with aftercare available until 5:00 pm. Aftercare is an additional $60 per week or $12/day.

About the provider

RAW Camp’s mission is to foster a deep connection between children and the natural world, while nurturing curiosity and reverence for the world. The leadership team includes Weston Lombard, Molly Jo Stanley, Lawrence Greene, Rina Caldwell, Heather Hively, Zaki Belit, and 2026-2027 Great Lakes Grant Apprenticeship folks, with more information coming soon.

Overnights are tentatively being offered for only the Leaders Camp this year, and the typical cost of $60 per camper is included in the registration fee. If there is enough interest from campers and staff, more camp outs may be hosted if possible. Aftercare signup options are included on the registration form.
