Ohio Wildlife Center Day Camps

Ohio Wildlife Center Day Camps offers Owlets Camp for ages 3-5, WildCare Jr. Camps for ages 6-8, WildCare Camps for ages 9-11, and Wild Academy Camp for ages 12-16. Camp activities include outdoor exploration, nature play, up-close animal encounters, crafts, hikes, animal care instruction, fishing, biology, stewardship of the environment, and service learning projects.

Programs

• Owlets Camp — Ages 3-5 · Morning Session 9:00AM-12:00PM daily; Afternoon Session 1:00-4:00PM daily · Campers must be potty trained. Includes outdoor exploration with trained camp staff, nature play, up close animal encounters, crafts, and hikes.
• WildCare Jr. Camps — Ages 6-8 · Monday-Friday 9:00AM-3:00PM; optional late pick up until 5:00PM · Includes up-close animal encounters, animal care instruction, crafts, hikes, and fishing.
• WildCare Camps — Ages 9-11 · Monday-Friday 9:00AM-3:00PM; optional late pick up until 5:00PM · Includes up-close animal encounters, animal care instruction, crafts, hikes, and fishing.
• Wild Academy Camp — Ages 12-16 · Monday-Friday 9:00AM-3:00PM; optional late pick up until 5:00PM · Focuses on biology, nature, being outdoors, stewardship of the environment, and service learning projects. Includes up-close animal encounters, animal care instruction, crafts, hikes, and fishing.

About the provider

Ohio Wildlife Center was founded in 1984 and states that it has helped injured, orphaned, and ill native wildlife for over 40 years. Education Program Coordinator Allison Sullivan oversees the camp, and camp counselors are fully screened and trained in first aid. The program is registered by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, is an Ohio ACE Qualified Education Service Provider, and is a member of the American Camp Association.

Summer Camp 2027 registration coming in January. Campers must be potty trained for Owlets Camp. Financial aid is available as a discount on camp registration to families that qualify. Booking information states programs should be booked at least four weeks in advance, form submission does not guarantee a reservation, allow up to three business days for a response, full payment is required two weeks before the event, and programs booked outside normal hours (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) are charged an additional $50 staffing fee.
