Cross Oak Camp & Retreat Center has been operating since 1947. Its leadership team includes John Schwieterman, Executive Director. The mission statement says it is "the place for kids, teens, and adults to experience God, make new friendships, grow through challenges, and have all kinds of fun."

They host churches, ministries, schools, nonprofits, and family groups from across Ohio and Indiana. They recommend booking 6–12 months ahead. Sometimes multiple groups may be accommodated at once, but each group has its own designated spaces. Meal service is provided for groups.
