Buckeye Gymnastics is a family-owned business that has operated for over 40 years and has served over 50,000 Central Ohio families. Its mission is to take students as far as their interest, effort, and talent will allow in a safe and positive environment. The program is recognized as Central Ohio’s largest gymnastics program and as Central Ohio’s Leader in Gymnastics, Cheerleading, and Youth Fitness, and it is recognized as the most successful USAG girls’ competitive gymnastics program in the State of Ohio. Buckeye has sent over 130 gymnasts to compete in Collegiate Gymnastics, and its athletes have earned college scholarships. The program offers a 100% money back guarantee for new families and students within the first two weeks of enrollment if notified in writing by email.
Owner David Holcomb leads the program and is a two-time USA Gymnastics Business Leader Award recipient who has delivered more than 200 national and regional lectures on gym design, safety, staffing, and program development. Buckeye Gymnastics has state-of-the-art, air-conditioned facilities with over 45,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed gym space and more than 50,000 square feet of combined training space. The program describes itself as offering expert coaching for every level and notes national titles and competitive success. It serves athletes from Westerville, Worthington, Powell, Dublin, New Albany, Sunbury, Lewis Center, Gahanna, Northland, and surrounding communities.
Gymnasts are encouraged to wear a leotard for class, with options including short or long sleeves, as well as unitards, and they can also wear shorts or leggings on top of their leotard. If a leotard is not available, shorts with no buttons or zips paired with a t-shirt are listed as suitable alternatives.
Parent reviews mention birthday party support, an inclusive environment, and positive experiences with the facility. One Google review from Kate Hazel thanks “the two lovely gals that helped with our grand daughter's birthday,” and another from Kate F states, “Run don't walk to this place if you are looking for a better gym experience.” Other Google reviews describe it as a “very nice facility,” a “great place,” and a “great place for kids to have fun,” and one parent, Khalda Osman, writes, “I love this place my child loves gymnastics.”
