Courageous Acres offers comprehensive outdoor recreation for people with disabilities, with a structured environment where campers can make friends and feel good about themselves. The camp serves children, teenagers, and adults of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and abilities, including individuals with developmental or physical disabilities or health conditions.

• Price: $15 / month Help us refresh and upgrade our program supplies each camping season—so every camper can learn, explore, and leave with a big smile! $50 / month Give one youth-camper a week of camp to develop new skills, confidence, and make lifelong friends. $125 / month Give one camper the ability to attend a week-long, overnight stay at Courageous Acres.
In 1963, family members of individuals with disabilities came together to build a safe, accessible summer camp for their children, and the camp is now known as Courageous Acres. Courageous Community Services remains the only camp with a qualitative focus and commitment to providing comprehensive outdoor recreation for people with disabilities in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The mission of the program is providing meaningful, inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities and their families through advocacy, education, and engaging recreational experiences. A variety of programming offers community, connection, and support for everyone in the family.
