Like a Fish Swim Lessons

Like a Fish Swim Lessons offers private lessons, duo lessons, group classes, and parent-child group classes. Private lessons are one-on-one with an instructor and are available in 15, 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions. Duo lessons are for two swimmers with one coach, and group classes are for small groups of 3–4 swimmers who already have basic water comfort.

• Private Lessons — All ages, all levels; mostly little ones · $22.50–$70 per session · One-on-one with your instructor. Available in 15, 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions.
• Duo Lessons — All ages, all levels · $45–$80 per session · Two swimmers, one coach. Available in 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions.
• Group Classes — Swimmers who already have basic water comfort · $60–$100 per session · Small groups of 3–4. Available in 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions; $5 additional per person for groups larger than 3.
• Parent-Child Group Classes — Parent and tot · Bonding Through Water Play; focus on water acclimation, basic swimming skills, and fun water activities.

About the provider

Like a Fish was founded by Kyri Funderburk, who is also the owner and lead instructor. The team includes Dan Chapman, Matt Hutson, Carlynn Fast, Madison Garcia, Mackenzie McDaniel, Wade van der Bergh, Terri Thompson, Greg Gustas, Anna Sandvik, Itzel Ramirez, Andy Anderson, Alyssa Corprew, Alex Lane, Asa Stewart, Aubree Stillings, Niles Cody, and Caroline Mohler. The program says it has 11.5 years average coach experience and has taught over 1,400 kids and adults and 1,200+ families.

• Lifeguard Classes — 1st Lifeguard $100/hour; additional lifeguards $75/hour.
• Lifeguarding — Certified lifeguard service for events or pools.

Tiny class sizes. Patient pace; no tears, no rushing. Sequential curriculum from bubbles to butterfly. Roll-and-rest first; the back float is lesson one. No kid gets pushed into deep water before they're ready. Safety first; every coach is CPR certified, renewed yearly. Eyes on every swimmer, every minute. First lesson cancellable up to 24 hours before.
