Camp Blue Hawk offers a five-day, four-night overnight summer camp for children ages 9-17. Campers live with type 1 diabetes and have food, nutrition, proper medical care, and supplies handled while they are away from home.

About the provider

The mission of Camp Blue Hawk is to promote learning, enhance self-esteem, and foster independence in diabetes care in children and teens with type 1 diabetes in a safe, camping environment. A highly experienced medical staff is at camp the entire time, including pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, and residents. Financial assistance is available, and no child will be turned away because of inability to pay.
