Mill Valley Child Care Centre – Summer Camp Programs offers summer days that include outdoor play and outings. Mill Valley Child Care Centre has been providing child care in the community since 1984. Teachers are qualified with a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and are in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators. The centre has a purchase of service agreement with the City of Toronto obtained in 1986.
The mission of Mill Valley Child Care Centre states that children are competent, capable and curious and have great potential, and that the goal is to support positive and responsive interactions among the children, parents and staff. The mission also states that partnership between families and the centre is essential, that the learning environment includes children, educators and families working together with a sense of belonging, and that educators guide children in an inclusive and supportive environment in which children learn through exploration, play and inquiry.
Summer Camp Programs include healthy nutrition supported by a full-time cook who prepares all meals and snacks from an in-house kitchen. All meals and snacks are prepared and served fresh and in accordance with Canada’s Food Guide and local Public Health guidelines. Families can apply for an Ontario Child Care Subsidy through their local municipality.
