Founded in 2001, Ashland Danceworks has been enriching lives through dance since that time. The studio is led by Creative Director and Owner Aisha Wand. Aisha Wand began her studies in Ballet and Jazz in Honolulu, Hawaii, and trained in Jazz Funk, African, Hula, Tahitian, and Hip Hop; she studied at The Edge Studios and Broadway Dance Center and performed in MTV and VH1 music videos, commercials, and stage performances with recording artists such as Prince, Morris Day, The Boys, and Exposé in the early 1990s. Instructor and choreographer Lili Fuller works extensively as a choreographer and director for theatre, film, television, music videos, a cappella, and live concerts, and has choreographed Significant Other and Icebergs at Geffen Playhouse, the premiere of Pitch Perfect 3 at the Dolby Theatre, and the A Cappella Open Finals at Carnegie Hall, among other credits. The mission of Ashland Danceworks is to empower individuals through the art of dance, fostering self-expression, confidence, and a lifelong love for movement. Dancers from Ashland Danceworks have performed at venues such as Disneyland, local Halloween, Christmas, and 4th of July parades, OSF Green Shows, and MLK Jr. Celebrations.
