Knappa Kids Athletics offers youth baseball, softball, football, wrestling, and cheer. KKA sponsors teams in baseball and softball as well as football, and uses divisions such as Rookie, Minor, and Major within its Cal Ripken baseball program. Rookie uses coach pitch, Minor is recommended for ballplayers ages 9–10, and Major is the most experienced level of Cal Ripken Baseball, recommended for 11- and 12-year-old players, with Major/70 using a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths, and Major/60 using a 46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths.

Knappa Kids Athletics (KKA) is a non-profit volunteer organization that is open to all interested families residing in the Knappa-Svensen-Burnside-Brownsmead area. KKA Lower Columbia Cal Ripken League is represented by a community board. Funds to sponsor activities are obtained through the sale of concessions at games, player fees, business sponsors, tournaments, and special fund-raising activities. Members are encouraged to attend KKA board meetings and to volunteer for positions such as coaching, umpiring, and fund-raising activities. KKA has implemented a Sport Parent Code of Conduct, and upon registration, parents or guardians sign a photo consent for the use of photos on KKA social media platforms. Upon registration, a non-volunteer fee does not exclude parents from working the snack shack as assigned by coaching staff.
