Knappa Kids Athletics offers youth teams in baseball, softball, football, wrestling, and cheer. The program is run as a non-profit volunteer organization and sponsors teams in baseball, softball, and football. Players 8–12 attend an evaluation, and their skill level determines placement into Rookie, Minor, or Major divisions within the KKA Lower Columbia Cal Ripken League.

Knappa Kids Athletics (KKA) is a non-profit volunteer organization open to all interested families residing in the Knappa-Svensen-Burnside-Brownsmead area. KKA is aimed at providing community youth supervised recreational opportunities. KKA Lower Columbia Cal Ripken League is represented by a community board. Rookie division is designed primarily for ballplayers ages 7–8 and uses coach pitch, Minor division is recommended for ballplayers ages 9–10, and Major Division is the most experienced level of Cal Ripken Baseball and is recommended for 11- and 12-year-old players. Major/70 features a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths and includes a tournament trail from District competition through the World Series, while Major/60 features a 46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths, has special base running rules, and also includes a tournament trail from District competition through the World Series.
Funds to sponsor activities are obtained through the sale of concessions at games, player fees, business sponsors, tournaments, and special fund-raising activities. Members are encouraged to attend KKA board meetings and to volunteer for positions such as coaching, umpiring, and fund-raising activities. Knappa Kids Athletics has implemented a Sport Parent Code of Conduct. Upon registration, paying the non-volunteer fee does not exclude parents from working the snack shack as assigned by coaching staff. Upon registration, a parent or guardian will sign a photo consent for the use of photos on KKA social media platforms.
