Mrs. Marcelle’s School of Dance

Mrs. Marcelle's School of Dance offers Mini & Me, a movement class for toddlers and their caregivers that is offered in 8-week sessions and is non-performing. It also offers Pre Ballet, Tap/Ballet Combo, Tumblenastics, Tap/Ballet Combo Kindergarten, Hip-Hop/Tap/Ballet Combo 1st Grade, Pom I, Tap/Ballet/Hip-Hop Combo Homeschool I, Tap/Ballet Combo 2nd & 3rd Grade, Hip-Hop 2nd & 3rd Grade, and Pom II 2nd & 3rd Grade.

Programs

• Mini & Me — Ages 1.5 & 2.75 · A movement class for toddlers and their caregivers. Non-performing class offered in 8-week sessions.
• Pre Ballet — Ages 3-4 · Ballet basics class. No experience needed.
• Tap/Ballet Combo — Ages 4-6 · Ballet and tap basics class. No experience needed.
• Tumblenastics — Children who love to tumble, climb, and stay active. No experience needed. Does not perform.
• Tap/Ballet Combo Kindergarten — Tap and ballet fundamentals class. No experience needed.
• Hip-Hop /Tap/Ballet Combo 1st Grade — Ballet, tap, and hip-hop fundamentals class. No experience needed.
• Pom I — Ages 5–7 · Pom foundations class. No experience needed.
• Tap/Ballet/Hip-Hop Combo Homeschool I — Ages 7-8 · Basic ballet, tap, and hip-hop fundamentals class. No experience needed.
• Tap/Ballet Combo 2nd & 3rd Grade — Tap and ballet technique class. Designed for new and continuing dancers. Previous experience is helpful but not required.
• Hip-Hop 2nd & 3rd Grade — Hip-hop class. Designed for both new and continuing dancers. No previous experience is required.
• Pom II 2nd & 3rd Grade — Pom technique class for dancers ready to build stronger pom technique and perform with greater confidence.

About the provider

Marcelle is the owner and teaches tap, ballet, hip-hop, and Tumblenastics. Kate teaches pointe and lyrical, Stevie teaches pom, ballet, tap, and hip-hop, Paris teaches hip-hop, and Reilly teaches tap and lyrical. The mission statement says the program is focused on enriching students’ lives every day by helping every child build confidence, poise, character, friendship, and a lifelong love of dance.

Students are recommended to register based on age and/or grade level. If a dancer demonstrates proficiency in the required skills, they may be advanced to the next level at the instructor's discretion. Classes are primarily organized by grade level, but instructors may adjust placements based on individual skill. Mini & Me is a non-performing class and is offered in 8-week sessions. No experience needed is stated for several classes.
