Downtown Dance Summer Camps

Downtown Dance Summer Camps offer hip-hop, jazz, jazz funk, modern, and creative dance, along with creative movement games, dance exercises, and active storytelling. Campers take part in activities that include learning new moves and routines, and some camps include an end mini-performance or informal performance. LET'S DANCE! CAMP also includes dance props such as a scarf, crown and/or wand for each participant.

• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: Three-day camp sessions offered on weekday mornings or afternoons in late June and early July
• Price: $108–$111 per camp, with an optional dress code package (dance dress, tights, and slippers) for $50 based on availability

Downtown Dance opened in 2011. The studio states the mission “Where everybody can dance!” and explains that it recognizes people’s diversity, including age, background, and reasons for taking dance classes, and that it strives to offer a positive and encouraging learning environment for all dancers to pursue their interest in dance. Downtown Dance states that it is happy to share the joy of dance with the Corvallis area community.

Families have shared testimonials describing instruction that includes challenging parts to learn, a welcoming studio community, and experiences for both children and adults. Several parents and dancers mention long-term participation at Downtown Dance and refer to the studio as a place where dancers can grow technically and explore their own movement, and where classes are described as well run with a strong community feeling.
