About

Guy Enriques Team Camp (GETC) is a team volleyball camp that includes activities such as Team Volleyball Camp sessions, Talent Night, and SNL. The camp uses Coach Guy’s Athletic Powerbook to take daily practice stats and accurately measure progress, with emphasis on managing skills such as serve, receive, and ball control. For many athletes and teams, GETC is described as the highlight of their summer and is often described as a life-changing event.

Guy Enriques Team Camp (GETC) started in 1987 and is entering its 40th year. It began with 6 local teams and now attracts close to 90 teams each summer, and has been described as “The Largest and Best in the Northwest since 1987.” The camp is grounded on solid principles and values that redefine how, what, and why the coaches coach, and it uses cutting-edge and innovative practice and coaching strategies with a relentless focus on developing the inner character and mental toughness of a player and team. The mission of GETC centers on creating the best version of each player, grooming their mental toughness, and building a belief in “We before Me,” with high school coaches returning year after year because they share the view that success is measured by “who we become in the process” and by “creating the best version of themselves.” The program states that it is more than just a team volleyball camp and describes it as an opportunity for athletes to take responsibility for their own success and manage their thinking to create the best version of themselves.

Coach Enriques leads the program and was the Head Coach of the Oregon State Women’s Volleyball Program when GETC started in 1987. He had a little more than 6 years of high school coaching experience at Gresham High School and led the Oregon State Beavers from the bottom of the PAC-10 Conference to a 3rd place finish in the PAC and a top 20 national ranking. He received a PAC-10 Coach of the Year Award and a Regional Coach of the Year Award.
