Imagine Theatre is a community-driven, Christ-centered organization that focuses on fostering inclusion and empowering youth and families through the theatre arts, and it does not require faith for participation and does not teach faith aspects. It uses a variety of secular and non-secular venues for rehearsal and selects shows that explore a wide variety of values. Imagine Theatre was created by a group of parents, teaching artists, and donors determined to create theatrical opportunities for youth in Clackamas County and receives support from a variety of organizations, communities, and businesses. Students in Thespian Troupe #12308 work together on goals such as fundraising and community building and participate in the wider Thespian community around the Portland metro and Oregon State.
The Studio @ Grange St. Performance Program focuses on varied performance opportunities with no term the same, while the MainStage Performance Program is dedicated to large-stage, large-cast, well-known musical experiences. Imagine Theatre is proud to have its own Thespian Troupe #12308 for students who do not have an active troupe at their school and also offers a signature 2-week teen intensive in summer.
The leadership team includes Alec Martinez (Co-Founder and Executive Director), Shanae Tullis (MainStage Artistic Manager), Louis Kruse (Education Manager), Lauren Pickthorn (Studio Artistic Manager and Co-Founder), Kim Wallace (MainStage Production Coordinator), Kelsey Wallace (Studio Production Coordinator), and Angeline Hill (Sponsors and Special Events Coordinator).
