Chief Joseph Summer Camp is a week-long summer day camp that includes activities such as painting, archery, geocaching, hiking, camp cooking, slip-n-slide, science, a water slide, boat-building, hands-on science, and active special projects. Camp activities vary from year to year and depend on volunteers.

Chief Joseph Summer Camp is for kids going into 2nd grade through 6th grade. The 2025 session of Chief Joseph Summer Camp is scheduled for July 14th–18th. Online registration will open March 26th, registration for 2025 is now open, and registration packets are due by June 6th. According to its mission statement, Chief Joseph Summer Camp strives to provide important, fun, enriching, and memorable experiences for each camper, and camp staff aim to create a safe, loving environment that helps campers build friendships, build self esteem, work together, and try new things. Campers attend several workshops and cooperative groups throughout the week that are put on by community volunteers, and these workshops, offered by community members, allow children to learn and practice a variety of unique skills. Kids at Chief Joseph Summer Camp learn basic outdoor skills such as how to use a compass or GPS, how to cook over a campfire, archery, and the basic rules of hiking.
